I saw three days go sailing by

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!
On Christmas Eve the Vestals and Underhills came over to exchange gifts, and eat Taco salad (I know very traditional, right?) That was a great evening. (Dad, Mom, Mitch, Aunt Kathleen, Uncle Greg, Nora, plus Shelby the dog)
Christmas day my Grandparents came about noonish, the Underhills around 2:30ish, James and Stacia about 4:00ish, and very later, the Vestals at about 6:30ish. Around 3pm we had Christmas dinner, lunch? Whatever you eat at 3pm. That food was traditional though. Oh, and to top it off it was snowing! It was so fun to celebrate Christ's birth with family and friends. My lovely Grandparents Today, we went to Woodland Park to go ice skating. That was so much fun. I tried hockey for the first time. I thought I would hate it but it was a blast (even if I did stink). I really need to work on my turns. The puck (that's what you call it right?)It would come right towards me but I would keep moving too, and I couldn't turn around to get it! I was eventually put as goally which I really quite enjoyed.

Me, Hannah, Raijoice, and Raydeemie.

Winter

Well, winter is officially here, which means Christmas and New Year, ice skating, skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, shoveling, wet socks, and slush. though I can't say winter is my favorite season (It actually comes third after Summer, then Fall) There is something felicity about watching snow falling, and wrapping gifts.

Merry Christmas!
Just remember Christ is the reason we celebrate!

Dress

I finished a semi-formal dress I had been making today. I really like it. I'm so happy it fits and turned out nice. I'd never made a formal dress before so it was kinda an experiment. I'll post better pictures later.

Caution! For strong stomachs only. (I'm not joking)

Yesterday night was crazy! First John Mark came over because he said he "broke" his knuckles and wanted my mom to look at them. Well, he hadn't been here 5 minutes before my dad runs in holding his hand and dripping blood. We had got over 6 inches of snow and he was out using our snow blower tractor. He thought he had turned it off ( he is hard of hearing) and was going to clean the built up snow out, so he reached his hand in. Big mistake. Two of his fingers are a mess. It looks like he stuck them down the garbage disposal. We called Mrs. Mallery to come over (she has dealt with these things before). James and Stacia (they had come over for dinner) went to town to get some bandages and stuff. Mrs. and Mr. Mallery soon came over and washed the wound out in warm water and grapefruit extract. We applied myrrh, pan away, tea tree oil, lavender, Roman Chamomile, and olive oil. About every hour we had to change the bandages. There was blood everywhere, even Cleo had to be cleaned off. I'm hesitant to put a picture, I really don't want to get flagged for disturbing images or something. So I think I won't. I'll leave it up to your imagination. Remember when Jaclyn cut her forehead open?It makes that look like a paper cut. If you want a picture I will e-mail you one. Please pray for healing for my dad.

Birthday, Deer heads, and Cleo

Well, today is my 17th birthday!
Last night I had a lovely evening with family and the Vestals. My mom and I made a lemon filled coconut cake from scratch, yummy! And I made everyone try an Italian Soda
(I think for the most part they all liked them). Eric shot a deer a few nights before and had to show us it's head.
Sorry the picture is blurry, but you get the point (pun intended)
Today we saw Cleo surrounded by turkeys. It was really cute!
