Sayings and Proverbs of the Dutch

Hoge bomen vangen veel wind.
High trees catch a lot of wind.

Gebraden duiven vliegen niet.
Roasted doves don't fly.

Lengte zegt niets.
Length doesn't mean anything.

Men kan van een kale kip geen veren plukken.
One can not pluck a plucked chicken.

This is a Scottish saying I found , but I only have the translation.

He that talks to himself, speaks to a fool.

Hannah

I was looking through my collection of my pictures of Hannah for one that would show you "Hannah" and I couldn't find one, but then I found this one which truly shows Hannah.

Family

This is a picture of my family. From left to right. Dad, Mom, Luke, Me, aka Megan, James Grandma Patty, and Rich. I know this is a Christmas picture, but I couldn't find any others with all of us, so you'll just have to suffer.

Washo

This is the long awaited Washo movie! But so be warned it is quite stupid and not one I prefer to show, but I know some people wanted to see it. So here it is!

Comments Please!

If you visit my blog please leave comments on whatever you like/dislike I really enjoy knowing what other people think. And don't worry I like criticism. But I know some people's computers won't let then leave a comment, and that's OK, I understand.

Tea Party!

Today I had the girl's Tea Party! It went so well, I think we all had a lot of fun. This is a slide show of the party. Enjoy!

Poem

This is an attempt at a poem I wrote last night.

With a sword doth she lift above,
to shout of Christ's redeeming love.

Though a dungeon cell was her fate,
eternal glory was there in wait.

Even burdened with her fleshly sin,
Hell's battles did she ever win.

With God's blessing on her side,
against the world's unhelpful chide.

She hoisted up God's banner high,
and under the wait nay did she sigh.

When in battle she was there and led,
though others blood she never shed.

For God's great power is not for war,
but for loving and helping ever the more.

So cast away that wrothful heart,
and into God's love may you never part.

The new kind off movie!

I'm not shore if you should wast your time watching this, but Hannah really liked it, so it must be funny to her.

Where is that tree hugger?

This is one of the first movies I ever made. It's kind of short and stupid but I think it is funny.

Poison

This is a movie I made with my brother a few months ago.

Greetings!

Greetings planet earth with all it's earthlings. Ok, you probably already know I'm strange but in case you don't, I'm going to make you understand in this entry.
Strange things I like to do.
1. I like to sing opera at the top of my lungs.
2. I like starring blankly at a wall and try to make patterns in the plaster.
3. I like to go bare foot almost everywhere.
4. I like to dress in reenactment clothing and go walking up our road.
5. I like to make irrelevant movies.
6. I like playing the dumb blonde.
7. I like to do my hair in very strange styles.
8. I like to distort pictures of people.
9. I like big words.
10. I like making lists for no reason.

Monday

Monday was kind off a blah day. After school (I homeschool) Hannah and I had piano lessons. Then we came to my house, Rachel came over and we danced to 40s big band music (that was fun). Then even later I made the hair movie.

Sunday

It was so nice on Sunday! It was like 80 degrees which is nice considering it's been in the 40s lately. After church Hannah and I went outside with the other girls to eat lunch it was almost too hot! Then Hannah and I pushed the merry go round barefoot it felt so nice, though I cut up my three little toes on my left foot, it still was worth it. Then we had our Gospel Festival which went really well I thought.

Wow!

Wow! It's been a week since I made a blog! Look how much I've done (not much)! On the 24th I'm going to have a girls tea party, I think that should be fun, the girls ages range from 6 to 12. I'm planning on playing Victorian parlor games and maybe beading necklaces. I'll write later how it goes.

The Misunderstood Blonde

It seems to me that people tend to think that because I play the dumb blonde, I don't have a brain! For instance, tonight when I was making my hair movie (you should watch it) the pictures were, as I said to my dad, "pixelated" and his jaw dropped! What was so strange about the word pixelated? And then Mitchell (my cousin) couldn't believe the words I used on my blog. He thought Hannah helped me. Plus Mrs. Hawkins couldn't believe I was in going to do Geometry next year. Though these are just a few examples, maybe they will give you an idea of the misunderstood blonde.

Hair Movie!

Choir

Tonight I have choir, we carpool with Rachel, Hannah, Laurel, Aaron, and Josh. I can tell you it gets LOUD! We are singing at a Gospel Festival on Sunday, that should be fun. Our choir recently did an adjudication, and Hannah and I each attempted a solo on Saturday.

How Insouciant!

Today I'm making a blog (how insouciant!) I plan on making it somewhat outre but so far it's dour. It's temerarious for me to brave the complexity of the computer, but I'm doing it!
