when the squirrel went berzerk!

Well, yesterday the Vestals came over and the moms went on a walk. When they came back they had a surprise....... an almost frozen squirrel! Mrs, Vestal and my mom saw it swimming in someones horse water tank. They brought it home and blow dried it till, well, the squirrel went berzerk! Well, I guess it got warm enough because it was leaping all over our house! What a sight to see us all running after this squirrel! We finally caught it and let it go. (Sorry the pictures are blurry, our camera's batteries were on low)

Sunny Days Ahead

For all who don't already know......... I"M GETTING A HORSE!!!!! His name is Sunny. When Hannah's horse Dora got loose a week ago, my mom found a sign saying found miniature horse. So our moms, Hannah, and I went there, and that's when we met Sunny. Rich (not my brother) the owner of Sunny, is moving in the spring and said he would give Sunny to me for free. So over the winter I will just go over there and get to know him, then next spring I'll bring him home. He is 16 years old and barrel and team trained. I'm told he is bomb proof.

Answers

Well, choir went well for our first day. Though our carpool is much quieter without Josh. This year we have Hannah, Rachel, Nora, Aaron, and me. So my mom entertained us with stories of when she was a paramedic, you know, decapitation, blood, guts, goor.......... girly stuff like that! I decided to sing One Eye, One Horn, Flying, Purple, People Eater for my addition.
Wow, the wedding is in 2 days!!!!!! I finally figured out what I was going to do with my hair!

Rat Poison, Milk, and a Chicken

Isn't cleaning out your desk drawer fun?! This is something I found that I had written a few years back. Tell me what you think!

Opera nom. 4
On a unclouded day a cheerful chicken farmer set out to butcher a plump hen for dinner. After swinging it around he sets it on the chopping block, but looking at its black expressionless eyes the chicken farmer’s heart gave a little plea for the pore hen’s existence. Before he knew it he hid her away, but avoiding his wife for she already had a stew on, and was waiting for the tender meat of the freshly decapitated hen.
But all too soon the chicken farmer’s wife found out, and soon located the concealed hen. Within moments the hen’s head was severed from its body and was in the stew.
Seeds of resentment grew in the no longer cheerful chicken farmer, and was not before long on his was to town to purchase rat poison to put in the milk bowl of his wive’s favorite cat, in retaliation off the hens demise.
Early the next morning before his wife was awake the seething chicken farmer went down into the kitchen and put the rat poison into the jug of milk. Knowing that his wife would give the fresh milk to the cat and yesterdays left over milk to him like always. Then the giddy with pleasure chicken farmer went out to feed the animals.
Later that morning his wife feeling regretful over killing the hen, and not regarding her husband’s desire to spare the hens life, decided to make his favorite breakfast, cinnamon rolls with fresh homemade icing.
Poring the milk into the powdered sugar to make the icing while the rolls baked, the wife called her husband through the window to come in and get washed up for breakfast.
When the giddy chicken farmer came into the house and smelt the freshly baked rolls he immediately felt bad over the even thought of killing his wife’s cat. He went into the kitchen to throw out the milk, and to apologize to his wife. But before he had a opportunity, the aroma of freshly baked cinnamon rolls overwhelmed him and he sat down at the table and began to eat. Warm icing dribbled down his face and the fresh rolls almost melted in his mouth. But suddenly the farmer fell over and was no longer. Later investigation found rat poison in the icing off cinnamon rolls, and his wife was sent to prison for the homicide of her husband.
After a 15 year sentence, and parole for good behavior, the chicken farmers wife went home. Seeing her husbands old coat hanging in the door went crazy. The next day she went to town and bought a new chick at the market to replace the one she had killed 15 years ago.
Years went buy and the chicken grew up and then died. But the death was to much for her to handle and the chicken farmer and his wife now lay together in peace.

A Calm Sunday Evening

(sorry I don't have any pictures we didn't bring any cameras)
Elaborated version of our evening.
We embarked on our voyage at 15:30 hours Sunday down the Flathead River with the Vestals, in our canoes. Nearly being drowned by Navy ships, and huge yachts, we cunningly avoided all the wakes by our expert knowledge of canoeing while starting out in the river. Having the men in one boat, and the women in the other, meant that, of coarse, we were far ahead. Around the remains of the bridge Hannah suddenly shouts "Look! My paddle just fell into the water and is sinking fast!", Having the fast reflexes I do, I dove into the ridged water to save the quickly sinking paddle! Swimming fast down into the deep, cold water I snatched it and brought it to the surface were there were great shouts off joy and they quickly helped me back into the canoe with many thanks and a warm towel.
After long, exhausting, hours of canoeing in rough water, we found this strange uncharted island in the middle of the river! While resting there to gain back our strength, the wind suddenly picked up, and we had to quickly scramble to the canoes before the island became overcome by the rising tides! Escaping that island we soon came to another, where we dragged the canoe over a vast field of rocks. When suddenly my mom fell into a deep pit filled with water! Grabbing ropes we saved her just in time, and were soon back on are way.
"The wind is picking up, and it looks like their might be a storm coming!" Shouts Mrs. Vestal, almost undecipherable over the strong winds, "We should head inland ". All agreeing we see a large forested island were it seemed would be a great place to take shelter and rest our aching arms. But on the way a rough 30 foot wave almost overcame us, but again our expert canoe skills saved us and we made it safely to shore. Staying a while we left, but were not far out when suddenly the men's canoe flipped over and sent them all flailing in the water! Thankfully all was well, and we soon we abroad again.
This is where it got fun. When we got to the bridge they had a rope swing hanging off a dangerously rugged bridge into the water, while boats were passing at incredible rates! Swinging over the boats into the water and swimming back under them was SO FUN!!! But too soon it was time to head home. And we all came home better people. We heroically went home.
The End
Truthful version of our canoe trip.
At about 3:30 we set off up the Flathead River, the men in one canoe, and the women in the other. There were a lot of boaters that weren't too considerate of the wake zone which was kinda annoying, but we survived. Hannah's paddle came apart in the middle and was slowly sinking so stupidly I jumped into the water to save it, nearly tipping over the canoe. They wouldn't let me get back in the canoe and made me swim in the cold water to the old bridge.
We came to this really neat submerged island where we played for a while, getting back in the canoe my mom slipped, but all was well.
The wind was making little waves and we almost tipped over a few times but didn't. Leaving a island though the men did tip over (we laughed) and then we helped then get the water out off the canoe, and find Christians missing goggles.
About 7:30 we came to the bridge and found a rope swing. Besides waiting for a few boats to pass we had a great time swinging into the water. Soon we had to leave so we sadly left the rope swing.
The Truthful End

Camping

Thursday: We got ready to leave. About 2:30 we left. We had our canoe on top of the car and it kept almost falling off, it was a long trip. If you saw two ladies trying diligently to get a canoe back on top of a green van multiple times, that was us. We arrived and the Vestals were already there with Mitchell, we set up camp, sat around the campfire, ate dinner and went to sleep.

Friday: We get up, have breakfast, mope around, and ride bikes on their really neat hills (were I have previously broke my arm a few years back) ate lunch, and about 2:30 The moms, Hannah, and I go on a rafting trip. Have fun, get back, and then the moms took the boys on a rafting trip, get the raft flipped and have to walk back to camp, meanwhile I was eating candy in our tent. The Underhills get to the camp site, set up their tent and we all eat dinner, roast marshmellows and go to sleep.

Saturday: We get up, eat breakfast, mope around, play madlibs, ride bikes, eat lunch, all take the canoes to lake McDonald. The Underhills rented a canoe and most of us take a canoe trip about 2 miles with my aunt Kathleen and uncle Greg plus Nora in one canoe, Mr. and Mrs.Vestal, Hannah, and I, in another, and my Mom, Mitchell, Luke and Matthew in the last. Canoe out then to a little private beach, were we swim and have much fun. Come back eat dinner, roast marshmallows, do madlibs, go to sleep.

Sunday: We get up, eat breakfast, get ready to leave, go home, put everything away, take long showers, and suffer in the heat.
