Techno Man Grandpa

I thought when my classes had finished at the college I would have free time. Like I might actually be bored or something. I was wrong. Music Theory was less work than being home. It's amazing how much effort the house takes just to survive, honestly I had forgotten just how much time everything takes to do. Last Wednesday we celebrated my grandpa's 90th birthday! It was great; Darlene and Wayne wanted to talk to him on Skype and he did. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! They even sung happy birthday to him and watched him blow out the candles.

Not too much else is new. Luke has a mountain man thing this weekend, so I sewed Luke and Christian a Capote (which is a wool jacket) and I got all my grades in for the semester 4.0, YEAH!!!

I filmed myself signing my ASL song that I did for class and I thought it was so funny I would share it with you all. Don't judge please, I know my dancing sucks!

Day 4: A plane crash, unsure, and a not so island paradise

For day four the question was what my favorite television series is. As a family we watch a lot of series. We actually don't end up watching that many movies because we always have a series going. We don't have TV, so we wait till they come out on DVD and then rent them from Netflix.

My favorite series is Lost. At first it was a toss up between Crusoe, Lost, and Lie To Me, but in the end it had to be Lost. I love the suspense and the constant unknown. It is one of the only shows I know of that the main character might actually die, and some do. It's addicting so be warned, you can't just watch one episode, without finding yourself on just "one" more.

The first season starts when a plane crashes on a island. Weird things are always happening and they even have flash back of the 70s (Fun). They really build on the characters, and you love each one for who they are. It's one of the only movies that made me almost cry when they killed off a character.

Day 2: Secrets, Pirates, and the Unknown

Today's question was much harder then yesterdays. I was thinking like "what is my favorite move?". I started going over like historical documentaries and whatnot, but then got to thinking although I really enjoy movies like Pride and Prejudice, they definitely aren't my favorite. I figured a favorite would be one that you can watch over and over and not get tired of. This also was hard because if you know me I don't really like to watch movies more than once. And then it struck me, I could watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy over and over! But on second thought, no way is that my "favorite" movie. After some more pondering I came to an conclusion. OK, I know a lot of people think this movie is stupid, and I would agree about the sequels, but I would have to say my number 1 sorta favorite movie would have to be Pirates of the Caribbean Curse of the Black Pearl. So there you have it, my secret is out and I hope it's not too shocking.

sling shots

My brother and I were watching a Myth Busters on human sling shots so..... If you have ever watched that show you know how they always insist that you never try anything they do at home. Well, don't worry, Luke wasn't flying across our yard, but unfortunate Lego men were.

We built it using pencils, duct tape, tacks, yarn, and rubber bands.

Pretty isn't it? We were both amazed on how well it worked when we were done. The Lego men would actually go from our family room back wall all the way out the back door past the porch.

I tried to film my little stunt man in action. You can't really see him, but he goes past the table.

New movie!

So, I made a new movie. I think it is really stupid, but kinda funny I guess (if not embarrassing) Well, tell me what you think. Enjoy!

Badminton

If you enjoy, a corny plot, poor acting, and cheesy smiles, this is the show for you. We made it this morning and I still can't stop laughing even when I was done putting it together. It was so fun to make and I hope you like it as much as we do!

Here is a movie Luke and I made a few day ago. It has no moral and no real pint but I still hope you enjoy it. It is based on a late 1920s silent movie. Luke is a piano player who gets fired because his music is to modern.

Half Way!

Today I realized I'm half way done with German! Finally. My mom is making me finish it even though I really don't want to. I started learning German when Hannah was so we both got the Rosetta Stone German. It's supposed to be a one year program but I've been doing it for 2 years now, so.... But like I already said I'M HALF WAY DONE!
